Khafre 's mortuary temple includes all five elements
that have been standard in all later Old Kingdom mortuary temples. The
elements are: an entrance hall, a broad columned court, five niches for
statues of the King, five storage chambers, an inner sanctuary. The mortuary
temple and the valley temple are linked by 459 meters long and 5 meters wide
causeway. The valley temple is best preserved building of the Fourth
Dynasty. |
