The city of Cairo extends of the banks of the river
of Nile to the south of its delta where Nile divides into two distributaries
- Rosetta and Damietta. On the east side of the Cairo city stands 2000 years
old evidences of Islamic, Jewish and Christian Coptic cultures; on the west
side lies Giza, the Ancient Egyptian city of Memphis and the site of Great
Pyramids. |
